Notice of Accreditation Under the Resource Management Act 1991
Pursuant to section 39A of the Resource Management
Act 1991, the Minister for the Environment approves
the following qualification as a qualification for the accreditation of Resource Management Act 1991 decision makers:
(a) A qualification approved by the Minister for the accreditation of Resource Management Act 1991 decision makers is the successful completion of the "Making Good Decisions" programme described in subclause (2).
(b) "Making Good Decisions" is a programme developed by the Ministry for the Environment as a qualification for accreditation under section 39A of the Resource Management Act 1991.
(c) Successful completion of the "Making Good Decisions" programme, on or after 1 July 2005 but before the date of this notice, is also to be treated
as a qualification for the accreditation of Resource Management Act 1991 decision makers.
(d) For the purposes of this notice, "successful completion" means:
(i) the receipt of a certificate following attendance at the two-day workshop and gaining a total mark of 50 percent or more across the assignment components; or
(ii) receipt of a certificate following a demonstration showing sound understanding of the "Making Good Decisions" goals and course content by presenters and facilitators to a panel of experts appointed by the Ministry for the Environment.
(e) All alternate, temporary, current, retired and former Environment Court, High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court judges are to be treated as having completed the "Making Good Decisions" programme.
